Y'know how college radio can be eclectic just for the sake of being eclectic? T-Pain into Dave Brubeck, then Metallica followed by then 40 minutes of Javanese temple gongs? You gotta admit they sometimes get it right, though, when they're eclectic inside a time period. I just listened to Shriekback's "Nemesis," followed by the Waterboys' "Fisherman's Blues," then the Replacements' "I'll Be You." They don't go together, unless you're A Certain Age and you bought all 3 of 'em from Columbia House, within 6 months of each other, circa '89.
