i sprung for a month of HBO just to watch Dune (despite obvious ways to… acquire… it.). Late to the movie-review party but i loved it. my only gripe is the Duncan Idaho stunt-casting. I don’t not like that guy but it just doesn’t fit; he’s too comicbook fun. Imagine his Ghola.🤔

experimenting with youtube music in lieu of spotify (since i’m paying for it as part of my YT Premium account). the algo gave me a playlist that included (in order) “The Captain of Her Heart,” “The Ghost in You,” and “Only Shallow.”

i’m on a 10-day streak in Duolingo and every error i’ve made is a fault not of my understanding but of Siri dictation being utter garbage. it’s like we live in a world of astonishing magic that works 65 percent of the time. (yes i should proofread before pressing Continue but how does it get “he eats bread” wrong?? seriously stuck in EAT UP MARTHA territory)

I’m not a B&W movie person. I’m an “82-minute throwaway comedy” person. Will Ferrell, not Jimmy Stewart (my grandfather’s prep school roommate). BUT i could watch The Spy Who Came In From The Cold 1000 times. Even though I know the twist and the tragedy. It’s just so good.

Tech-support note-to-self: The thing that consistently trips up Mom & Marshall is the saved-pw mismatch in Safari. They don't grok the saved-pw dialog box Safari/OS pops up above web pw inputs & they get frustrated at newly-reset pws not working. Solution: blow away old ones.
